Illusions of a Cluttered Mind by The Part-time Poets

Are you looking for poetry that still values a good rhyme? Welcome to the eclectic collection that is Illusions of a Cluttered Mind.
This intricately woven medley brings you a tantalising mix of the real and surreal, the mundane and the bizarre. Touching on everything from personal memories and social prejudices to ancient myths and modern officialdom, these poems navigate life's confounding twists and turns with a generous dose of humour and irony.
Designed for the reader's convenience, this anthology naturally falls into five self-explanatory categories:
• Life’s Like That: Relatable verses on frustrating DIY tasks, robotic call centres, and the general aches and pains of ageing.
• Smile, Smile, Smile: Heartwarming and witty tales, from teddy bears to disastrous dates.
• Love – Lost and Found: An honest, emotional reflection on romance and relationships.
• Morbid Thoughts: A fascinating look at human decline, death, and what awaits us beyond—including fantasy elements like vampires and angels.
• Real or Surreal: A whimsical playground of verse where objects have thoughts and mysteries like the "gyrowocker" await.
Whether you are a dreamer, a pragmatist, a futurist or an idealist, this compilation seeks to deliver pause for thought, shared experience and, on occasion, the odd wry smile.
Embrace the vision of the Part-time Poets as they meander through the complex diversity of human life and eccentricity.
